Criticism

My essays and reviews have been published in a wide variety of international contexts, including exhibition catalogues, magazines, and websites. I have contributed to publications including Afterimage (US) and Art Monthly (UK).

Academic

My book Across the Art/Life Divide: Performance, Subjectivity, and Social Practice in Contemporary Art was published in 2018. I also write scholarly essays that have been published in Art Journal, Art and The Public Sphere, Drain, The Sixties, and Third Text. I am an Associate Professor at Whiti o Rehua School of Art Massey University where I am coordinator of doctoral studies.

Public

I am a regular commentator on art, books, media, and popular culture on podcasts, blogs and lecture widely, and have presented my research in New Zealand, Australia, the US, the UK, Canada, and elsewhere.
